“She is extremely helpful with other students, especially those who
are struggling, to the point that she is almost like having a second
teacher in the room,” Rowland said. “She always seeks to look out for
others and genuinely cares for their well-being as their friend.”
He feels fortunate to not just have her in his class for one year but two.
Blanc’s advice to other middle and high school students is, “don’t be afraid to be different.”
“People may laugh at you, and I know from experience that people are
going to laugh at you, but you have to stick with what you know and what
your parents have taught you and what God has shown you,” she said.
“Stick to what you know and be different.”
Her other passion is singing. She has performed in school talent
shows and at church. She hopes to sing in the Sunday morning praise team
at Grace Heartland Church when she’s older.
“It’s really the thought of expressing how you are feeling in words through music,” she said.
